WORK WITH US

FLEXIBILITY

Would you like to become your own boss? Train to become a driving instructor, working with Edward Bullock Driving School.

You must have a full, clean licence when applying to this post.

The Role;

Your job as a driving instructor is to guide and coach your pupils, from the moment they start with you, whether they are a complete beginner, a full licence holder, or anywhere in between, through to passing their practical driving test, or to achieving their goals.

To do this, you must be;

- Patient

- Calm

- Punctual

- Reliable

- Friendly

- Positive

- Adaptable

- Excellent communicator

You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a high quality, professional service to your pupils.

The Process;

To become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) you must pass three assessments.

Part 1 – Theory Test

Part 2 – Driving Ability

Part 3 – Instructional Ability

Every 4 years – Standards Check

Edward Bullock works closely with a local, ORDIT registered Driving Instructor Trainer with whom you will complete your training.

You can start teaching on a Trainee Licence once you have passed the Part 2 assessment and completed 40 hours of training. You must then complete an extra 20 hours of training between receiving your trainee licence and taking your Part 3 assessment. Overall, your training is expected to take between 60-80 hours, the cost of which is £40 per hour and is your responsibility. There is a negotiable discount when paying in bulk instalments. All training costs are paid to the ORDIT trainer and not Edward Bullock.

During the application stages, you will need to obtain a DBS/Criminal Records check in order to progress your application, as you will be working with some under 18s.

When joining Edward Bullock Driving School you will be supplied with pupils, ensuring your job security. In return, you will pay us a franchise fee for providing you with the work. This fee is £75 per week, to be paid weekly via standing order.

Benefits;

- Be your own boss. Being self-employed means you can work as much or as little as you wish, at times that suit you. *

- Unlimited holiday. There is no upper cap on the amount of holiday that you wish to take. You do not pay the franchise fee when you are away.

- Earn a realistic annual salary of up to £50k, dependent on how much you work.

- Flexibility. Unavailable at weekends? Got to take the kids to school? Expecting a delivery? Don’t arrange to work where you have prior commitments. *

- There are no targets, quotas, quarterly reviews, performance based bonuses or anything ‘corporate.’ We are happy, if your pupils are happy.

Full support and guidance will be given throughout the training process.

Once qualified, the legality and upkeep of your tuition car is your responsibility.
